Tiltrio — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-10
This policy describes what information the Tiltrio web game ("we," "us," "the Service") collects, how it is used, and your choices.
Summary in plain English
- Tiltrio does not require an account. No name, email, password, or other personal information is requested or stored on our servers.
- The game uses your browser's local storage to remember your audio settings (theme, sound effects on/off) and which tutorials you have already seen. This data stays on your device.
- Our hosting provider automatically logs basic technical request information, including your IP address, the URL you visited, your user agent (browser type), and the time of your request. This is standard for any website on the internet and is required to operate the Service.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, social media trackers, or any third-party tracking scripts.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your information with anyone for any purpose.
1. What we collect
1.1 On your device (browser local storage)
The Service stores a small amount of data in your browser's local storage:
| Key | Purpose | Contents |
|---|---|---|
tiltrio.audio |
Remembers your audio preferences | Visual theme, sound effects on/off, music on/off |
tiltrio.tutorial.seen.<mode> |
Remembers tutorials you've dismissed so they don't auto-open again | A "1" flag per game mode |
This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to any server. You can clear it any time by clearing site data in your browser settings.
1.2 On the server (hosting logs)
Our hosting provider's infrastructure automatically records each request to operate, secure, and debug the Service:
- Your IP address (treated as personal data under EU/UK law).
- The URL or asset you requested.
- Your browser's user-agent string.
- The timestamp of your request.
- Whether the request succeeded or failed (HTTP status).
The hosting provider acts as a data processor on our behalf. Their handling is governed by their own privacy policy. Logs are retained per the provider's default retention schedule (typically a small number of days for general logs).
1.3 What we do NOT collect
- We do not request or store your name, email, address, phone number, date of birth, or any other identifying information.
- We do not use cookies for tracking purposes. (See the cookie disclosure for the full storage disclosure.)
- We do not run analytics scripts (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Mixpanel, no anything).
- We do not embed advertising or ad-network scripts.
- We do not embed social media trackers, share buttons that phone home, or chat widgets.
- We do not track you across other websites.
2. Why we have this data
- Browser local storage exists so the game remembers your preferences between visits. Without it, you'd have to re-pick your theme and re-watch tutorials every time you load the page.
- Server logs exist so we can diagnose outages, defend against abuse, and verify the Service is functioning. They are not used to build a profile of you.
3. Sharing
We do not sell, rent, lease, or share any data with third parties for marketing, advertising, profiling, or commercial purposes. The only third party that processes data on our behalf is our hosting provider, as described in §1.2.
If we are ever legally compelled to disclose information (e.g., by court order), we will limit disclosure to what is strictly required.
4. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information that would identify a child user. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information through the Service (we don't think this is possible given the Service collects no identifying information, but in principle), please contact us at the address below.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the following rights regarding personal information about you:
- EU / UK (GDPR): Right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. The relevant personal data we hold about you is contained in our hosting provider's server logs (your IP address and request metadata) for the retention window described above. You can request that we ask the provider to delete logs identifiable to you by emailing the contact address below.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): Right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and not be discriminated against for exercising your rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Other jurisdictions: You may have similar rights under your local law.
To exercise any of these rights, email Tiltrio@jeyla.app with a description of your request. We may need additional information to verify your request and may not be able to delete server logs that have already aged out of the hosting provider's retention window.
6. Data retention
- Browser local storage: retained on your device until you clear it.
- Hosting provider server logs: retained per the provider's default retention policy.
We do not maintain any other database of user information.
7. Security
The Service is served over HTTPS. We do not store passwords or any secret information about you because we do not collect any. The Service does not require an account or login.
8. International transfers
The Service may be hosted on a global edge network, which means your request is served from a location near you. By using the Service, you understand that requests may be processed outside your country of residence.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent change. Material changes will be communicated in the in-game changelog or alpha-tester announcements.
